This is my setup Modem -> WRT54Gl - > BEFW11S4 All wireless traffic goes to the BEFW11S4 which is connected to eth1 on the wrt54gl. I have tcpdump monitoring eth1. The T1 router will have a WAN IP address, that is provided by the ISP. I think you should be able to configure the LAN IP address range on that as well. Best is to give the 2 nodes i.e. LAN of the T1 router and WAN of the Linksys IP addresses the same subnet. This should be static IP addresses, as this will be the gatweay for the internal network.
Nov 12, 2019 · If 192.168.1.1 isn't the IP address that's configured for the router, it's less of an issue than if the default password isn't correct. The router doesn't need to be reset to find its IP address. Assuming the Linksys WRT54G has been working as your router, you probably have several devices that are connected to it.
